New members of the Advisory Board
We are thrilled to announce the addition of three distinguished members for AI Forum’s Advisory Board:
- Mithila Holla, Vice President – Product Management and Marketing at Trinity Mobility an IoT and Applied AI startup, and speaker at AI Forum’s annual conference in September
- Pedro Uria Recio, Chief Analytics & AI Officer at True Digital Group, a business unit launched by True Corporation – a leading Telco conglomerate in Thailand, and member of the Forbes Technology Council and
- Mazin Gadir, Director Of Strategic Partnerships, Bid Management and Client Relationship at IQVIA, a leading global provider of advanced analytics, technology solutions, and clinical research services to the life sciences industry
Launch of two new communities
After the successful launch of our first token gated community, for the Advisory Board, AI Forum is launching two new communities this week as we strive to lower the barriers to participation in Artificial Intelligence.
AI Directory is aimed at a broad global community, including beginners, taking their first steps, alongside skilled experts and firms with decades of experience. A telegram group has been organised to consult with early advocates on user experience and community functionality – particularly NFT use cases for digital identity, badges and adoption of social graphing technologies, for example Lens Protocol. AI Directory will be showcased at the September ‘22 AI Forum conference, developed with the expert help of our friends at Sentr3 and Polygon.
AI GEN complements AI Directory, and is a community for students and young people interested in education and building careers in AI and data science
The core objective is to build a global youth and student community, with support from AI Forum through: mentoring, sharing projects for students to learn and earn and support career development.
Features for this community include:
- Connecting Students and Youth with expertise in the AI field
- Offering a forum to discuss careers, networking and events
- Deployed using Web3 technology and future integration to other social networks including TikTok and Instagram
Outreach is being led by Rasmus Häggkvist in the UK, supported by our customer services team led by Lisa Carter. Another Telegram group has been set up to consult with students and young people ahead of production launch alongside AI Directory. All links can be found in the comments section below this video.
AI funding news
In funding news, aidoc based in Tel Aviv’s thriving tech hub, raised one hundred and ten million US dollars in Series D. The firm, is led by their charismatic CEO Elad Walach who recently posted on LinkedIn, “We believe in 5-10 years from now the hospital of the future is going to be data-driven and intelligent. But to enable that, a new layer in healthcare must emerge – an intelligence layer that can drive patients across the care continuum.
And that is what we’re on a mission to build: From leaders in radiology AI, to using our resources to expand it across the entirety of the care continuum, serving radiologists, cardiologists, neurologists, emergency physicians and more.”
A huge round of one hundred and sixty seven million US dollars in Series B was raised by Metropolis, based in Los Angeles, California, USA. The company uses computer vision systems to recognize cars and automatically charge customers for their parking. CEO, Alex Israel, was quoted in a recent article by TechCrunch, “In order to realize a future with cars that are electric or autonomous, you have to build the infrastructure for them to operate within, and that starts by bringing brick-and-mortar locations online. Parking and movement within urban environments have not changed in the past 70 years and we set out to change that.”
