CB Insights, have put out their latest AI report stating, “A record 65 artificial intelligence companies reached 1 Billion US dollars plus valuations in 2021, up over five times from the previous year. There were 125 AI unicorns globally at the end of 2021. In the fourth quarter, 10 new AI vendors joined the unicorn club, including 3 from healthcare.”
In AI funding news
Jiffy.ai’s Series B round raised 53 million US Dollars, and was led by Eight Roads Ventures. The funds will be used to scale the company’s sales and marketing efforts, and advance its HyperApp platform.
AiFI raised 65 million US Dollars in Series B funding. The company helps retailers create an autonomous, checkout-free shopping experience using AI-powered solutions, which can retrofit an existing supermarket or bespoke new designs. The technology claims to be 99 % accurate within three months with a claimed ROI of twelve months.
In Education news
We highlight Neo4j – a pioneer in graph database technology. The company’s website states, “Neo4j stores and manages data in its more natural, connected state, maintaining data relationships that deliver lightning-fast queries, deeper context for analytics, and a pain-free modifiable data model.”
